Early Reactions To Deadpool 2 Is Overwhelmingly Positive

JUST CAN’T WAIT

Deadpool 2 is one of the most anticipated films of the year and is looking to quench our blood-lust (i know, it sounds sinister) based off early reactions of the film. The release of Deadpool in 2016 reassured studios Rated-R comic book films could still be successful as the film was both a critical and commercial success. With this in mind, Logan was released the year after and garnered a similar reception (actually, a much better reception). It was no doubt a sequel was underway for the Merc with the Mouth.

Starring Ryan Reynolds as the titular character alongside notable cast members including Josh Brolin as Cable, Zazie Beetz as Domino and Bill Skarsgard as Zeitgeist, Deadpool 2 is looking to live up to its hype following its initial round of press screenings.

Critics took to social media to express their opinions on the film:

The change of directors may have raised some doubts as Tim Miller’s work in Deadpool was astounding but it seems like David Leitch is doing just as well. Not surprising coming from the guy behind John Wick and Atomic Blonde.

The reactions above obviously indicate positive responses with one person claiming it to be better than Avengers: Infinity War. It would be a treat if this were really the case as Rated-R action films tend to serve up thrills that PG-13 blockbusters just can’t emulate. That’s not to say that PG-13 films can’t be better but with one response claiming it to be the most violent major release since Kill Bill: Volume 1, that’s really something to look forward to.

Not only are some reactions indicating the sequel being better than the original but also an interesting post-credits scene. Perhaps something relating to an X-Force film with Domino and Zeitgesit but we’ll find out once Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 16.
