Avengers 4 Might Include More Cosmic Characters By Jim Starlin

Where is this universe going to go?

Jim Starlin is one of the most prominent figures in Marvel Comics for having crafted the cosmic tales and space opera adventures that spawned the characters of Thanos, Drax and Gamora (just to name a few). His contributions are now far more resonant due to the prominence of those characters in the recent instalments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, primarily Avengers: Infinity War. It seems that there may be more of Starlin’s creations in Avengers 4.

Marvel has no doubt credited him with a “created by” credit in the films for his characters portrayed in Infinity War and Guardians of the Galaxy with the aforementioned Thanos, Drax and Gamora. He does have more characters in his arsenal however and it seems that we might see them on the big screen soon.

During a Q&A at Puerto Rico Comic-Con, Starlin was asked on what he knew about Avengers 4. He revealed that he’s been on set and that he would receive more credits this time around based on reports from SuperBroMovies. Nothing has been confirmed however and there is no direct quote to support it so it’s best not to jump on the hype train just yet.

We can still speculate that there will be more characters introduced this time around and that those characters would be some of Starlin’s creation. Perhaps a possibility of A’Lars, Thanos’ father? due to him being name-dropped in Infinity War.

With what Marvel has created, any member of Thanos’ immediate family could just stop by for tea and it’ll sell tickets. There are plenty of characters of Starlin’s that mainstream audiences have not had a taste of yet such as Kronos or Starfox but there’s a chance that would change when Avengers 4 drops next year.
