Justice League Storyboard Artist Doubts Zack Snyder Cut Rumors

It’s time to let it go.

Justice League was not a very good film despite doing a couple things right following the negative reception of  Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Snyder’s take on Dawn of Justice clearly had some problems and Justice League could have been the one that redeemed him. Snyder then stepped down from the director’s chair to deal with his daughter’s death as Joss Whedon took over directorial duties during post-production. There have also been reports that Snyder was fired following a screening of his ‘unwatchable’ first cut of which Whedon came on board to take over. Well, it didn’t matter in the end, cause Justice League was a disappointment and became the lowest grossing DCEU film. DC fans are a passionate bunch and that wasn’t the end of the story.

Since then, fans have demanded for Snyder’s original cut of the film. Revenge of the Fans suggested that Snyder is working on his own cut of the film without Warner Bros and has been doing so for a while now. Frequent Snyder collaborator and storyboard artist Jay Oliva addressed this on Twitter, cautioning fans to not put their trust in these sources especially when it’s not coming straight from a firsthand source.

Olive also addressed the assembly cut that was screened for the executives.

Oliva is someone pretty closely tied to the DCEU. If there were some Snyder cut being assembled, he would probably know about it. There’s a chance that Snyder may be tinkering around with the film but he’d still need Warner Bros.’ permission to get it released. Fans are probably gonna be clamoring on about this but it’s probably best to not dwell on the past. Justice League happened, let’s just hope Aquaman delivers.
