Indian 2 Cinematographer Reveals That The Story For The Movie Is Mind-Blowing

Good news for Kamal fans.

The Kamal Haasan classic Indian released in 1996 will finally be getting a sequel after over two decades with director S. Shankar and Kamal himself set to return. The film is currently in its pre-production stages so it would still be a while till we get Indian 2 but it seems that there’s a lot of potential for the film to be amazing.

According to the Times of India, cinematographer Ravi Varman who is set to be on board the project was asked on the status on Indian 2 to which he expressed plenty of excitement for the film. Varman stated that Shankar had narrated the film for about three hours and revealed that the story for Indian 2 is mind-blowing. Varman has been attached with Haasan before with this being their third film together, the other two being the crime thriller Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and science-fiction disaster film, Dasavatharam.

The film is set to have a pretty big budget under the banner of Lyca Productions which has been noted for action films such as Kaththi and the recently released Kaala. With this in mind, we can definitely expect the film to be something worth looking forward to and would even likely be bigger in scale than its predecessor.

This serves as great news for fans of the popular actor and fans of Indian cinema. This could very well be another great entry to Haasan’s filmography but of course only time will tell. In the mean time, Haasan’s highly anticipated Vishwaroopam 2 is set to be released on August 10, 2018 so check that out to get your Kamal fix.
