Things seem to be picking up steam for Bond 25 as the film looks like it’s making some good progress. Following the departure of Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire director, Danny Boyle from taking on the latest Bond outing, there were plenty of questions to be asked in regards to what would happen next for the film. Although, it sucks that Boyle would not be taking on the next film, it looks like the film has found a new director with the likes of Cary Fukunaga.
Fukunaga who directed all the episodes of True Detective season 1 and also Beasts of No Nation will direct the latest Bond film. Fukunaga was announced as director on Twitter alongside the reveal of the film’s release date being pushed back to Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2020.

It was also revealed that the film will start filming at Pinewood Studios on March 4, 2019. Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli also provided a statement to accompany the announcement which says:
“We are delighted to be working with Cary. His versatility and innovation make him an excellent choice for our next James Bond adventure,”
Well, things are looking better for Bond 25 since Fukunaga is a director who knows what he’s doing. Fukunaga earned acclaim for his directorial efforts in the first season of True Detective along with his efforts in film with the likes of Jane Eyre and Beasts of No Nation. This film is in good hands but there’s still a long way to go. We don’t really know who Bond will be taking on but there’s a chance that Said Taghmaoui might be a part of the latest Bond flick but that’s still pretty unsure.
