Joker Set Photo May Reveal Some Possible Plot Details For The Movie

Perhaps this offers a glimpse of what we can expect from the film.

We got a ton of information recently regarding the upcoming Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix. We’ve been getting some information regarding the cast of the film along with the characters that some of them will be playing. We also got a look at Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck (Joker’s real name in the film) in a set video and also in an image by director Todd Philips but what really blew the minds of many was the 30 second camera test revealing Phoenix in full Joker make up.

If that wasn’t enough, we also got images and a video of a scene featuring Joker and the members of the Insane Clown Posse terrorizing a subway. The film will reportedly tackle Arthur’s failed attempt at becoming a comedian but we still don’t really know much about the plot details of the film. It looks like we might get a little more information on the film through a new set photo. This isn’t really confirmed but it may tease a thing a two about what we can expect from the film.

Evening Standard revealed a gallery of set photos for the film , some of which we’ve already seen, some of which offer a closer glimpse and some of which seem pretty new. One of the photos includes the front page of The Gotham Post which features a story about three “masked bandits” stealing a church collection box. The photos also provide a much better look at the subway set video offering us not only a better look at Phoenix but a better look at the other “clowns”. Some of the “clowns” seem to be holding signs up calling for taxation of the rich and all sorts of other class struggle stuff. One image includes one of them holding a sign that reads, “Welcome To A World Of Pain Wayne“.

It’s unsure if Joker had something to do with the collection box but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he does. Then again, Gotham’s a pretty messed up city so this could be the work of other criminals. From what we saw at the subway, it looks like the topic of socio-economic classes will be tackled and maybe a revolt would ensue in the film with perhaps, Thomas Wayne being a target.

It really is unsure how they would tackle this cause conflicts like this is would usually be introduced pretty early on in a film. It’ll be interesting to see how they tackle the Joker’s origin story and also this class struggle aspect of the film but we still don’t really know for sure how much this aspect would be implemented, if at all. Nonetheless, excitement is in the air for the film but for now, it’s probably best to resume marketing next year, Todd.

Joker will be released on October 4, 2019
