Chris Evans Wraps Up Avengers 4 Reshoots And Possibly His Time In The MCU

Is this the end for Cap?.

Chris Evans’ portrayal as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is quite possibly one of the most integral aspects in the mega film series. We saw Evans in the role of Cap way back in 2011 in Captain America: The First Avenger and despite the character’s boy scout demeanor at the start, the character has grown into a favorite with large part due to Evans involvement.

Cap has been in many MCU films from the aforementioned, The First Avenger, its sequels The Winter Soldier and  Civil War alongside the Avengers films, leading our heroes to well, fight baddies. We also saw some cameos in Thor: The Dark World and Spider-Man: Homecoming, making him one of the most influential figures in the MCU. He’s slated to appear in next year’s Avengers 4 but will that be his last run in the MCU?

Evans wrapped up re-shoots for Avengers 4 as announced on Twitter, officially fulfilling his contractual obligations. Yeah, his contract with the MCU is over and although there’s a chance of it being renewed, Evans tweet somewhat indicates a farewell to the character. Check it out below:

Yeah, it definitely seems like he’s hinting at the film being the last run for him as Cap. I mean, no way would he say something like this if he’s going to be back in the near future right? Then again, his contract can be renewed and he could make a return but it wouldn’t be a big surprise if Evans would just wanna move on.

However, this could indicate a little something for the upcoming Avengers 4. Since he’s done in the role (supposedly), could this also be the end for Cap? Hard to say, but we’ll find out soon.
