Endgame Fan Theory Suggests Return Of Villain From Doctor Strange

It would be nice to have the big guy back.

The Avengers: Endgame fan theory train keeps on chugging bringing in more speculation on what we can expect from the blockbuster of the year. From the introduction of Red Hulk to the “key” to defeating Thanos, we’re still not done and we’re probably gonna get more theories till the film rolls out in April. This latest theory highlights the speculation among fans and audiences in regards to a bigger threat that our heroes might face in the film and yes, that bigger threat is bigger than Thanos. The theory suggests a cosmic entity we already know, an entity that we saw in Doctor Strange known as Dormammu.

Reddit user u/ak2sup theorizes that the bigger threat that will be faced in Endgame is none other than the villain from Doctor Strange. To check out the full theory, click here but to summarize, the theory highlights Doctor Strange being dusted in Infinity War which in turn would bring Dormammu back to earth to f–k s–t up. Why you ask? Well, near the end of the Doctor Strange, Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) made a deal with Dormammu to leave earth alone which he did albeit not really willingly. With Strange dusted, Dormammu wouldn’t really give a s–t and would likely just come back and mess with earth again.

The theory does make some sense as Endgame has been touted as the culmination of what the MCU has been building towards and it wouldn’t make sense for Marvel to rush another baddie into the mix. We know that Cumberbatch is returning for the film but take into account that he also played Dormammu in Doctor Strange so yeah, he could be doing that… or both. Thanos’ snap could have also caused some sort of rip in space and time allowing for Dormammu to move between dimensions, both the dark dimension and earth. Dormammu could very well make a return in the film… or so this theory suggests.

It would be cool to see the big guy back but let’s be honest here, we wasn’t really that memorable in Doctor Strange and I loved that film. Hell, I completely forgot he existed until I stumbled upon this theory but he would definitely make himself pretty damn memorable if he made an appearance in Endgame.
