Marvel Boss Kevin Feige On Captain Marvel Sequel

Looks like we’ll be seeing more of Carol Danvers moving forward.

With Captain Marvel set to be released in a matter of days, you gotta wonder what the future holds for Carol Danvers. The film is already getting some good reviews so we can expect another solid instalment from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite some efforts from trolls to take a s–t on the film before it’s even released due to some of star Brie Larson’s words, the film is expected to do pretty well. With this in mind, we can expect a sequel and it looks like it could be awesome according to Marvel boss Kevin Feige.

We’ll see Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home after Captain Marvel is released but what’s next is still unclear. We do have some sequels announced but how Endgame will turn out could possibly change the course of the MCU (Maybe). It looks like we can expect Danvers to play a prominent part in the franchise’s future as Marvel Studios may have some serious plans for the character moving forward.

Screen Rant spoke to Feige after the Captain Marvel junket about a sequel. He didn’t really reveal much but he seems confident that they’ll be able to provide a larger narrative for Danvers in the future. He said:

“The making of a first film is in some ways a brainstorm on the future and on what can be. So what it will be again is not clear. But what it could be is pretty amazing.”

Captain MarvelHis words seem pretty vague but then again, that’s not a surprise coming from Feige since Marvel is pretty secretive about their future (Except when it comes to the return of Spider-Man). However, it seems like Captain Marvel could plant the seed for Phase 4 of the MCU along with a sequel for Danvers. We’d definitely be seeing more of her in the future and her sequel could prove to be as Feige says “pretty amazing”.
