Netflix is known to keep their viewership details very close to the vest. While they do release details on their subscription growth, rarely do they ever divulge the numbers of each movie/tv series.

Interestingly enough, the streaming giant has decided to pull the curtain back a little bit when it comes to their original movies. Netflix has released a list of their Top 10 most-watched original films, along with the streaming numbers of those titles. Check out the list below:

  1. Extraction – 99 million
  2. Bird Box – 89 million
  3. Spenser Confidential – 85 million
  4. 6 Underground – 83 million
  5. Murder Mystery – 73 million
  6. The Irishman – 64 million
  7. Triple Frontier – 63 million
  8. The Wrong Missy – 59 million
  9. The Platform – 56 million
  10. The Perfect Date – 48 million

It comes as no surprise whatsoever that Extraction topped the charts, despite it being one of the newest releases on the list. The gritty action film was billed as a passion project by one of the directors of Avengers: Endgame, starring Thor, Chris Hemsworth. While I didn’t find the film that all that engaging, it’s easy to see why it attracted all the eyeballs. Bird Box is no different — in fact, that would’ve been my pick to top the charts. The film is sort of a lousier version of A Quiet Place, but garnered massive hype upon its release. Even Kim Kardashian Tweeted about it.

What does surprise me, though, is the fact that The Irishman made it to the top 10. Scorsese’s slow-burn gangster drama starring Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci and Al Pacino is a solid watch, but it’s not exactly the type of film you’d think would grab a wide audience. This puts a giant smile on my face. It’s a relief to know that these types of films can still find a broad audience, at least on the small screen.
