Mission: Impossible – Fallout Early Reactions Indicate Another Fantastic Entry

Keep the streak going guys.

The Mission : Impossible film series has spawned over two decades and seems to be getting better and better. Yeah, some of the films may be weaker but it’s safe to say that the recent films have been received far better critically. Based of the television series of the same name, the film follows Ethan Hunt played by Tom Cruise , a spy from IMF who does spy s–t and well… that’s all you need to know if you’ve never seen any of them.

One would assume that films like this would overstay their welcome after all this time, it doesn’t seem to be the case with the box office and critical numbers of the recent M:I films- Ghost Protocol and Rogue Nation earning the most in the series along with being the most acclaimed in the series. The latest installment Mission : Impossible – Fallout sees Christopher McQuarrie, director of Rogue Nation back and its a wonder if they can keep the streak going. Well, early reactions indicate that the Cruise flick is offering one hell of a ride and perhaps the best film of the summer.

Paramount screened the film for a group of reporters and early reactions seem to point to another great entry in the Mission : Impossible series:

That’s great to hear and Fallout is no doubt something to look forward to in the coming weeks. I have to admit that it’s kind of hard to trust these press screenings. They could just have the studios pointing a gun to their heads as they type (Okay, probably not) but there are factors that could attribute to reporters being so nice about these films instead of the actual quality of the film itself.

Maybe I’m just a little butt-hurt with Sicario 2: Day of the Soldado as early reviews indicated a great sequel which albeit was a good action film but not a good Sicario sequel. I do have faith in Cruise and McQuarrie to deliver another great spy action film now with the addition of mustached Henry Cavill. It’s best to just check it out for ourselves.

Mission: Impossible- Fallout will be released on July 27, 2018
