X-Men: Dark Phoenix Scheduled To Undergo Three Months Of Reshoots

Could this be a bad sign?.

There’s a ton of anticipation for the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix film set to be released next year. The X-Men film series has had a number of triumphs and some duds but we can all agree that the film series is pretty bold in the stuff its tackling. X-Men: Apocalypse was pretty disappointing but Dark Phoenix looks like it may be able to serve up one hell of an epic. However, it seems that the film may not be done yet as it is now scheduled to undergo three months of additional shooting.

LaPresse.Ca reports that Quebec is about to make a milestone with the number of film productions shot there, revealing that Dark Phoenix is one of them and that filming will take place in MTL Grande studios. It seems like they will be shooting the ending to Dark Phoenix, perhaps a climatic end battle. This could be a good thing or a bad thing cause on one hand, it seems like Fox is looking to make it awesome but on the other hand, could they have f**ked up? Christopher Marc from Omega Underground took to Twitter to point out:

Re-shoots don’t necessarily mean a bad thing but in recent memory, some films that undergo re-shoots tend to provide some fairly underwhelming results such as Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice or even Solo: A Star Wars Story. We gotta take into account that re-shoots are pretty normal for big budget films but three months is pretty long for re-shoots.

I’m going to be optimistic for now cause I really want Dark Phoenix to succeed but it’s best to keep in mind that this could either go very well or very bad.
