Fast and Furious: Paul Walker’s Brothers Open To Having Brian Return In The Future

May not sit well with some fans.

The Fast and Furious franchise is both a funny and tragic story. Funny because their films should in no way ever be taken seriously and tragic due to Paul Walker’s death that really made an impact on many of its fans. Walker died in a tragic off-set car crash in 2013, years before the release of Furious 7. At the time, Furious 7 was still in production and his brothers, Caleb and Cody Walker finished the rest of his scenes with Walker’s face digitally imposed over his brothers’.

The difference wasn’t really bad albeit noticeable but the film managed to provide a beautiful send off to the character of Brian O’ Conner. That wasn’t the end of the franchise as we all know, there was the eight film, The Fate of the Furious released last year and there are still plans for the franchise including a Hobbs and Shaw spin-off. One would assume that Paul Walker’s role is over and done with but it seems like his brothers would want his character to return.

According to AP News, the brothers may want to return to the franchise and sees some potential in Brian coming back. Caleb and Cody were promoting their documentary I Am Paul Walker centered around the late actor’s life and premiered last weekend on the Paramount Network. Take into account that Brian is still alive in the Fast and Furious universe (can’t believe I said universe). You may assume they may be out of their minds to bring him back but they did provide their take on how it could go. Caleb said:

“I just hope we get to — I don’t know — have a little cameo and bring Paul back to save the day and I get to help create that again,”

Seems a little too ludicrous but then again, it’s the Fast and Furious franchise and stupid is the name of the game right? It would seem a little distasteful to do something like that and fans might not really be that into it and would rather see the character move on. Cody thinks it could be done proper however, saying:

“I think there could potentially be a way to do it. But it would take a lot of thought and it’d have to be tasteful. It would have to be tasteful,”

Yeah, some fans may not be too fond of that but it is best to just leave the character as it is now or better yet, let’s just stop the franchise. Okay, the latter probably won’t be happening soon but it’s up to these guys and the producers at the end of the day.
