Ant-Man 2 Director Reveals The Possibility Of Time Travel In Avengers 4

It does seem likely to be the case.

Quantum Realm, Quantum Realm, Quantum Realm…. that’s seems to be what is highly theorized when it comes to what would be a major aspect in Avengers 4. MCU’s big mouth Tom Holland also kinda spoiled it and with how things are going, it’s looking to be the case. The Quantum Realm is described as a reality in which time and space are non-existent and although Ant-Man & The Wasp tackled it a little bit, the film didn’t properly explore it as they decided to go the funny duddy route. With the whole concept of time, it seems very likely that Avengers 4 may tackle it in order to fix the events of Avengers: Infinity War.

Director of Ant-Man & The Wasp, Peyton Reed spoke to Huffington Post and revealed the possibility of implementing time travel in Avengers 4. Alluding to the mid-credits scene of Ant-Man & The Wasp, he was asked if Scott could show up in past Avengers scenes through time travel. Reed said:

“Based on the science that we’ve set up in the first movie and this one, I won’t rule out the possibility, because, again, we are dealing with a time vortex. That could happen.”

He didn’t reveal too much since he’d get into some serious s–t from Marvel Studios since they usually keep things under wraps when it comes to their films’ plot points. If it were the case however, it looks like Scott may have an integral role in Avengers 4 which is awesome since he was given the tool-bag treatment in Ant-Man & The Wasp.

Time travel isn’t really new when it comes to superhero films since films like X-Men: Days of Future Past and Deadpool 2 have implemented it and changed a lot of aspects as to the timeline of the films. It seems somewhat likely that Avengers 4 may go that route so hopefully they do it just as well or perhaps even better.
