Wonder Woman’s Said Taghmaoui Might Be In Line To Play Next James Bond Villain

Hopefully he gets a chance.

Things are a little uncertain for the future of the long-running James Bond franchise. Although, it is pretty likely that we’ll be getting future installments, the departure of Oscar winning director Danny Boyle from Bond 25 has left some things in the air and it is likely that we won’t be getting the next James Bond film as early as we’d hoped. It looks like the villain for the next film might be played by Wonder Woman actor, Said Taghmaoui as he has been revealed to be in line to play the next Bond villain.

Although it’s not written in stone, Taghmaoui has revealed to The National that he is expected to play the next Bond villain when the film goes into production. The French-American actor of Moroccan descent has been in a number of films in the past including French film, La Haine and Three Kings but to general audiences, he is notable for playing Sameer in DCEU’s Wonder Woman. He revealed on the matter of Bond:

I’m supposed to do the next James Bond, playing the lead bad guy. I was cast by Danny Boyle, and just now he left the project, so of course there’s some uncertainty,”.

As mentioned before, things aren’t written in stone and apparently, there’s two ways the film might go in regards to the villain so Taghmaoui isn’t really the only option. He said:

“We don’t know who the director will be, and the producers don’t know if they’re going to go Russian or Middle East with the baddie right now. I literally just received a message saying: ‘If they go Middle East, it’s you. If they go Russian, it’s someone else.’ It’s the story of my life. Always on that line between something that could change my life and something that disappears.”

Well, it’s a shame Boyle left but who knows, Taghmaoui might get a chance. He is a talented actor and with his role in Wonder Woman, his name would reach further heights in Hollywood. Only time will tell so we can only wait and see.
