The Hobbs and Shaw spin-off to the over-the-top Fast and Furious franchise is something… That’s just it, it’s something. It’s hard to really tell if this film could be any good or if it’s anything that people actually asked for but it is going happen and hell, it’s happening. Starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jason Statham and Idris Elba with Deadpool 2 director David Leitch taking on the project, the film is going to be…. something.
Whatever your opinion is on the Fast and Furious franchise, The Rock really added some fuel to it all, making Fast 5 one hell of an action film and Statham himself was pretty damn cool in Fast and Furious 7. The Hobbs and Shaw spin-off has started production so the film looks to be on the right track. Leitch teased the start of production on Instagram whilst sharing his excitement for good old American football that I won’t pretend to know anything about. The post also includes a look at the film’s possible logo and it looks kinda cool.
Johnson himself took to Instagram to share a look at the production for the film featuring Statham and Leitch smiling amicably next to a cool looking car that I won’t pretend to know anything about.

My partner in heavy crime & fun @jasonstatham is lookin’ like $1million bucks and holdin’ it all down. Our visionary & bad ass director @davidmleitch (just directed Deadpool2) at the helm and ready to evolve the franchise in exciting and fresh new ways. And as always, our @sevenbucksprod president @hhgarcia41 capturing the dopest images thru his 📷 lens. Keep crushing on that set boys… the man known as “HOBBS” will touch down in London in two weeks. Pancakes, tequila and ass kickin’s 🥞🥃 on me. #Day1 #TheEvolution #HobbsAndShaw
Well, fans would be excited for this film and it does seem like they’re having a ton of fun with it. Maybe this one is looking to be a fun film. We don’t really have much context on what’s going on but hell, it’s a Fast and Furious spin-off, context is probably the least of what they’re worried about.
