Buzz Lightyear Voice Actor Tim Allen Discusses Upcoming Toy Story 4

Something for all ages to look forward to next year.

The Toy Story film series is one of the best film series in history but that won’t be the end of the it as a Toy Story 4 is in development. It’s rare that all three films in a trilogy can be so emotionally resonating but these talking toys have been able pull it off time and time again as they capture the magic of friendship and childhood. We thought Toy Story 3 would be end the of it but no, there’s still a story to tell and this fourth film looks like it may deliver everything we’ve come to expect from this series, perhaps even more.

The film will follow Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) on a journey to find Woody’s love interest Bo Peep (Annie Potts), who was given away prior to the events of Toy Story 3. It’s safe to say that we’re going to watch it but if you’re worried it may not deliver, Tim Allen doesn’t think so.

Speaking with The Talk, Allen discussed his thoughts on the next installment of the series, revealing that the fourth film has an incredible story and great new characters. He said:

“it is so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big the idea they’ve come up witha couple of the scenes towards the end were really hard to get through.

That’s not really much of a surprise cause all the films have proven to be amazing. It is one of those rare cases and Pixar has been mostly (Remember Cars?) great in delivering family friendly adventures for all ages. This one is definitely going to be something for nostalgic adults to enjoy and younger kids to finally be introduced to. Set for a June release date next year, this is quite possibly one of the most anticipated films of 2019.
