Blade Runner 2049’s Ana De Armas Joins Cast Of Rian Johnson’s Knives Out

With a great cast and a great director, this is something to look out for.

Say whatever you want about Star Wars: The Last Jedi but you can’t deny that Rian Johnson is a damn good filmmaker and when he’s making a film, it’s something to look forward to. Rian Johnson’s next big outing, Knives Out is set to be an interesting murder mystery with Daniel Craig as the lead detective. We don’t really know much about the plot but when Johnson is going back to his thriller/mystery roots, we know it’s gonna be good. We recently found out that Chris Evans would be part of the film shortly after we found out about his possible departure from the MCU but now we have another familiar face on board.

Deadline reports that Ana De Armas from the sci-fi masterpiece, Blade Runner 2049 will be part of Knives Out. De Armas played Agent K’s A.I. girlfriend, Joi in the Dennis Villeneuve film and gave us something memorable, adding a ton of complexity to the film despite what the feminists might say. It’s unclear what role she would be playing but if it’s following the vein of Johnson’s filmmaking, it’s gonna be good.

Filming is expected to begin next month and this flick looks like it may serve something wonderful to the table. With Craig, Evans and De Armas on board, the cast looks like it’ll deliver but director Rian Johnson is already a noteworthy name on the list. Having made great thrillers like Looper, the neo-noir masterpiece Brick and hell, even Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Johnson has proven to be someone worthy of praise. This is going to be an intriguing one.
