Wonder Woman 1984 Release Date Pushed Back To 2020

The filmmakers can take a little bit more time now.

Wonder Woman 1984 is one of the most anticipated films of 2019… well, was one of the most anticipated films of 2019. I say that cause it’s not going to be released in 2019 as originally dated but will instead fill in a spot the year after. Starring Gal Gadot, the first Wonder Woman released in 2017 was a really good film and is perhaps the only ‘good’ film in the DCEU. That may sound harsh to the DCEU but it is the only film with a Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Wonder Woman 1984 would see Gadot back in the lead joined by a talented cast which features the likes of Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright. Production for the film is underway and it initially had a November 1, 2019 release date but it looks like things have been pushed back.

Gadot announced this piece of information in a post on Twitter revealing that Warner Bros. has given the film a summer blockbuster season release date, that being June 5, 2020. Check it out below:

Look at her! Trying to make it seem like we didn’t notice that it’s been pushed back. How treacherous! Okay, not really but it’s actually a lot better this way as the filmmakers can really take their time and get it right. They did good with the first one and the sequel looks very promising. It would be a better date too cause Joker will be released nearly a month before and it wouldn’t be best to even have a slight bit of competition with another DC flick.
