Box-Office Estimates For Aquaman And Bumblebee Are Franchise Lowest

They would still probably make a ton of cash.

There is undoubtedly a ton of hype for the DCEU’s upcoming Aquaman film and a little bit of curiosity surrounding the upcoming Bumblebee film. The former is the next big outing for the DCEU following the disappointing Justice League which didn’t really see a lot going for the series. The latter is a different story cause all of its predecessors (except maybe the first one) were pretty s–t films despite earning significantly at the box-office.

However, both franchises despite being pretty big saw less than awesome returns at the box-office with their last installments with both Justice League and Transformers: The Last Knight earning the lowest amount in box-office returns for the series. With how Aquaman and Bumblebee are looking, one would expect there to be some hope for their respective franchises. Well, there is but their box-office numbers may not be as amazing as some would hope they would be… at least according to some estimates.

According to Box Office Pro, the long-range estimates for Aquaman and Bumblebee are pointing to both films having the lowest opening weekend gross in their respective franchises over its first three days. The Jason Momoa led flick is expected to earn between $40-$60 million while the latter is expected to projected for a number between $15 to $25 million. These are still pretty big numbers but they could be better especially from what we saw so far and the amount of hype that’s been building up.

These are just estimates for how much the film would earn in opening weekend and these reports usually point to the United States and Canada but it would suck if this were to really be the case. Justice League and The Last Knight both earned $93.8 million and $44.6 million so hopefully people forgot about those by now. Granted, one of the prime reasons would be its competition that month with Mary Poppins Returns and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse receiving a ton of attention.

Despite all this, the film’s still look to be successful cause Aquaman looks to really deliver and Bumblebee doesn’t have a gigantic budget so it’ll get its cash back. However, the DCEU flick still looks to get a lot of cash albeit there’s a chance it wouldn’t be as much as the studio may hope for but take into account, these are just estimates.
