Aquaman: Early Reactions Indicate A Great Entry For The DCEU

Oh, thank Neptune!.

It’s pretty certain that Aquaman has a lot riding on its shoulders to deliver fans and audiences a DCEU film to remember… in a good way. The James Wan directed film will see Jason Momoa as the titular character, joined by a rag tag group of notable performers including Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Willem Dafoe among others.

There’s a ton of anticipation for the film and we’re expecting it to be good or at the very least, entertaining. One can’t help being cautious about the film though as the DCEU has failed on numerous occasions but it looks like Aquaman just might deliver according to early social media reactions.

Warner Bros. recently held a screening of the complete film and a group of lucky few managed to get an early look at the film and they have mostly good things to say. Starting off from Reddit, MaxBorne seems to have really enjoyed it despite highlighting some criticism that doesn’t seem like it would spoil the film. Check it out below:

That’s not the only one as the primary source of all things “early social media reactions” also has a ton of love to shower Aquaman. Yes, Twitter has a thing or two to say about the film and it’s safe to say we can expect something great from the DCEU. Check them out below:

Not everything is overwhelmingly positive though as Twitter user baji points out some flaws surrounding the film but still concurs that it’s a solid film. Check it out below:

One thing’s for sure, Aquaman is going to at the very least be entertaining and to be honest, that’s still pretty good. No one really expected a cinematic masterpiece like The Dark Knight so we shouldn’t expect something like that. Maybe, after this we can get something bigger and more ambitious since Momoa already has a plan for a sequel.

Aquaman is scheduled to be released on December 21, 2018
