RUMOR: Carl Weathers To Join Star Wars: The Mandalorian TV Show

Just a rumor though.

Not a lot is known about Jon Favreau’s upcoming Star Wars live-action television series, The Mandalorian especially in regards to the cast. We know that the timeline for the series would be between the events of Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens but we still don’t know much in regards to casting news. The series will be directed by many different people including Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) so we can expect something interesting from this series.

The series would apparently follow a Mandalorian warrior but we don’t know who will be playing that character. Casting news have been pretty scarce but there are rumors floating around and this latest rumor points to Carl Weathers being a part of the film.

According to the podcast Making Star Wars, Weathers is rumored to be on board The Mandalorian project though the podcast doesn’t reveal what his role might be. Weathers is a veteran actor albeit not really a thespian having been in some notable film including the Rocky series and The Predator. The podcast also supported some rumors surrounding Waititi and Howard having roles in the show with the former apparently voicing a droid. However, nothing’s been confirmed so it’s best to just take it as rumor for now.

The Mandalorian is currently undergoing principal photography and some things are still being kept under wraps in regards to information surrounding the series. Not a big surprise cause Star Wars is under the helm of Disney and much like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it looks they wanna keep thing hush for now (for the most part at least). We’ll know more later on but we can still be a little optimistic with the few names we know that are attached to this.
