Game Of Thrones Final Season To Premiere In April

Hopefully none of us die before that.

It’s pretty safe to say that HBO’s Game of Thrones is quite possibly one of the biggest television series of all time. Love it or hate it, you can’t deny that the fantasy series based off the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by George R.R. Martin made one hell of an impact on throughout its run. The series was pretty damn great despite some seasons being weaker than others and the long awaited eight and final season is something that’s going to occupy our space in our 2019 calendar.

The seventh season which aired in 2017 gave us one hell of a finale and although we didn’t get the eight one this year as one would assume would be the case, there’s still been a ton of hype. Although there’s only going to be six episodes, the season would be the do all end all for the series and now we finally got a release date for Game of Thrones season 8.

The official Game of Thrones Twitter page has released a short little video featuring some footage of memorable scenes we’ve come to recognize during the series’ run. Not only that, the video confirms that the series will premiere in April 2019. Check it out below:

That’s damn good news as the show is more or less five months away so hopefully none of us die before that. With the show finally drawing to a close we can still expect more Game of Thrones content in the future as there would be a prequel underway that will be set thousands of years before the events of Thrones itself. We may not be seeing a lot of familiar faces or any at all but there’s still something for fans in the future.
