Mary Elizabeth Winstead Confirms Birds Of Prey Production Date

We now have an idea yet when Birds of Prey will take flight.

One of the most intriguing new DC Films projects that will begin production very soon is Birds of Prey. Part of that is due to its remarkable cast that includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress. With the main cast set, filming on Warner Bros.’s Birds of Prey is set to kick off at the start of next year.

In a new interview with Bionic Buzz, actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who will play Huntress, briefly discussed the forthcoming “girl-gang” film. “It’s sort of a spinoff of Suicide Squad,” she said. “It kind of follows Harley Quinn, which is Margot Robbie’s character from those films, and this sort of girl gang that she puts together. I play Huntress, and we’ve got Black Canary, played by Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Rosie Perez and Ewan McGregor. It’s a really fun, fun cast. We haven’t started shooting yet, but we start shooting in January, and I can’t wait.”
