The Raid Star Iko Uwais Joins Dave Bautista And Kumail Nanjiani In Action Comedy Flick

This could be a lot of fun!

Famed Indonesian actor Iko Uwais, who’s usually known for his kick-ass moves across multiple action movies, is tipping his toes into the comedy scene.

Uwais is well known for his role in The Raid, which came out in 2011 as well as its 2013 sequel. He also appeared in and provided fight choreography for Star Wars: The Force AwakensUwais’ last project was in 2017, with Beyond Skyline. He has 3 movies lined up this year, including The Night Comes For Us and Triple Threat. He’s also just finished filming Mile 22, where he’ll star alongside big names such as Mark Wahlberg and John Malkovich.

According to Cinema Online, Iko Uwais is now set to team up with Silicon Valley‘s Kumail Nanjiani and former WWE Champion Dave Bautista in 20th Century Fox’s action-comedy flick, Stuber

Stuber is about a mild-mannered Uber driver, played by Nanjiani, who picks up a grizzled cop, played by Bautista, who is hot on the trail of a brutal killer. The driver is then thrust into a harrowing ordeal where he has to keep his wits, his life, and, most importantly, his five-star rating.

With a compelling plot meshed together with Nanjiani’s comedic talents and now, Uwais’ action-packed moves, it’s easy to see why Stuber is hotly anticipated amongst many movie buffs. The release date is yet to be announced so watch this space.
