He made a name for himself as the ruthless Khal Drogo in Game Of Thrones. But Jason Mamoa is happy to admit he has a soft side thanks to his mum Coni, as he revealed he was ‘constantly crying’ on the set of his superhero flick Aquaman.

Calling himself the ‘biggest drama queen’ while speaking to The Mirror on Sunday, he explained: ‘I was constantly crying. I was raised by a single mother and I’m very connected to my emotions. I’m not going to normally get hired to play those emotional things – and I’m capable of it. I’m just trapped in a big, dumb body!’

The Justice League star was raised by his mother in Iowa after moving away from his hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii, and he often posts sweet tributes to her when he shares snaps with her on Instagram. Jason has praised her on multiple occasions for being a ‘strong’ parent, and he has also said that single mothers are all ‘truly superheroes’.

Justice League may not have been able to show Aquaman’s vulnerable side thanks to all its parademons, but Momoa is more than ready to breakdown the hero’s walls when called upon. In addition to Jason Momoa, Aquaman stars Amber Heard, William Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman. Jason Momoa’s new movie, Aquaman, hits theaters on December 21, 2018.
