Smallfoot Trailer Features Channing Tatum as a Yeti Discovering Humans

Channing Tatum voices an amateur detective yeti.

Following on from the first, it’s taken a few months for the new trailer from animated comedy Smallfoot to arrive. Now, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for the upcoming animated adventure-comedy, starring Channing Tatum, Zendaya, Common, and James Corden.

Billed as an “animated adventure for all ages”, Smallfoot has a pretty clever premise. It focuses on a group of Yetis who are convinced that human beings don’t exist. Upending the typical Bigfoot tale of some human discovering what they think is the creature, Smallfoot sees the Yeti community shaken to its core when one of its number, Migo (Tatum) has an encounter with a human (Corden’s Percy), who survives a plane crash near his snowy village, something that had heretofore been dismissed as legend.

Smallfoot is directed by Karey Kirkpatrick, who directed Over the Hedge and wrote screenplays for Chicken Run and The Giant Peach. The film is produced by Bonne Radford, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. Serving as executive producers are Nicholas Stoller, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Jared Stern, Sergio Pablos, and Kirkpatrick. The creative team includes editor Peter Ettinger, and composer Heitor Pereira. Smallfoot also features original music and an all-star cast of James Corden, Zendaya, Common, LeBron James, Gina Rodriguez, Danny DeVito, Yara Shahidi, Ely Henry and Jimmy Tatro.

Smallfoot stomps into cinemas on September 27th.
