New Ant-Man And The Wasp Trailer Is A Change Of Pace From Infinity War

Looks like a change of pace from Infinity War’s intensity.

Marvel fans are still hungover from the happenings of Infinity War. The latest trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp might serve as the perfect antidote for that hangover. Filled with plenty of energy and comedy, it’s sure to remind you of just how fun these movies can be. The film is a necessary reprieve from the gloom and doom of Thanos’ cosmic balancing act. The trailer also gives us a great look at the movie’s ensemble cast as well as its mysterious villain.

Fans shouldn’t expect any form of Infinity War fallout from this film, as Ant-Man and the Wasp is set before the Avengers’ big throw down with Thanos. Last we saw of Scott Lang before Infinity War, he had gone home to be with his family rather than join Captain America’s team of underground superheroes.

Ant-Man might not have made waves like Marvel’s other foray into a more offbeat comic territory, Guardians of the Galaxy, did, however, it’s safe to say Ant-Man did make an impact. Lang’s appearance in Captain America: Civil War, while not serving the plot, did lead to one of the most talked about moments of the film with Lang becoming Giant-Man, if only for a brief moment. In his latest adventure, rumored to take place not long after his appearance in Captain America: Civil War and before Infinity War, Ant-Man teams up with Hope Pym, who has now adopted a secret identity of her own as the Wasp.

Ant-Man and the Wasp were absent from Avengers: Infinity War. After their standalone film, Earth’s tiniest heroes are expected to join the fight in Avengers 4. It will certainly be nice to take a breather from the massive landscape of the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Ant-Man and The Wasp is expected to release on July 5.
