The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs Trailer: The Coen Brothers Are Back

This is something to look out for on Netflix.

A new trailer for The Ballad of Buster Scruggs by Oscar winning master filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen just dropped and it looks fan-f–king-tastic. That’s not really a big surprise cause it’s the Coen Brothers for god’s sake and we can expect something special for fans of good cinema. That may sound a little elitist but the Coens have done a number of niche films but they’ve done some more crowd-pleasers too with the likes of Fargo and No Country for Old Men.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is an anthology western film starring Tim Blake Nelson, Liam Neeson, James Franco, Zoe Kazan, Tyne Daly and Tom Waits. The film consists of six chapters telling tales from the wild wild west and it’s already getting some love from critics. The film is expected to drop on Netflix very soon so some of us who may not get a chance to check it out in theaters would be getting a shot to see this on the small screen.

The trailer has plenty of fun, quirky characters the Coen Brothers have been pretty successful in delivering in the past along with some dark humor that’s been a staple in plenty of their films. Stunning cinematography and set design is something that’s highlighted here and of course, music that fits wonderfully.

The Coens are masters of the art-form and although their last flick Hail Caesar may not have resonated with some audiences… who gives a s–t? It’s the Coens! The guys who gave us classic comedies like The Big Lebowski and also fantastic films surrounding musicians like Inside Llewyn Davis. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is something that should be checked out if you’re a fan of them and auteur cinema.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs will be released on Netflix on November 16, 2019
