We’re getting a decent amount of information to speculate about in regards to the upcoming Todd Philips directed Joker film thanks to the slew of images that’s been popping up of late. Some people may not be too keen on knowing anything on the film or how the film would even look like but official plot details are still relatively scarce. These images not only offer us a glimpse of what to expect in regards to appearances but it also allows us to speculate more in regards to what we can expect and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Brett Cullen, Robert De Niro, Marc Maron, Glenn Fleshler, Bryan Callen and Shea Whigham among others, the film follows the story of Arthur Fleck (Joker’s real name) and his failed attempt at becoming a comedian only to turn to a life of crime. We’ve gotten glimpses of Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime and also some images of Zazie Beetz’s character who will play Arthur’s love interest but not much has been seen in regards to the rest of the cast especially Thomas Wayne who will be played by Cullen.
That’s changing as we now have a look at Cullen as Thomas Wayne, father of Bruce Wayne in case you didn’t know. A new batch of photos from the New York City set of the film has just been revealed thanks to Just Jared, so check them out there for a better look. One of the photos include Cullen as Thomas Wayne. We also have some images of Arthur running with a piece of paper, seemingly in a rush to show it someone. We also see him stumbling to the ground and also him on the ground. Wayne is apparently running for mayor of Gotham and although we don’t really see much on his political campaign, he sure as hell looks like he has money.
We can assume that Arthur is trying to talk and perhaps pass that piece of paper to Wayne but it’s hard to say anything for now. That paper looks like it’s of vital importance though so like that’s probably something worth taking note of. Still hard to say for now but this film still looks great and we may be getting something really special next year.
Joker is scheduled to be released on October 4, 2019
